Urbino study abroad is a trans-formative experience. Immersing themselves in the Italian culture for a three month period of time allows students to become more profoundly effected by the experience. Students establish lifelong friendships with students from all over Europe as they interact with the population at University of Urbino. They learn about cultural and societal differences and similarities, as well as the Italian mindset of living a good life. |

| Our mission is to provide a rich educational experience where students and faculty may build awareness by gaining knowledge beyond the typical classroom experience, extending opportunities for growth and academic instruction that may lead to student exchange programs, thus incrementing international student participation. Our initiative is to provide an educational service organization to American universities in Italy, outside the well-known regions of Tuscany and Lazio. The Marche region, less known then its neighbors, offers a diversified landscape embraced with nature, agriculture, life by the sea and historic city centers that are mixed with modern day life. A place where people live, study and work, a region that combines many important aspects of the Italian culture. Within the Marche region students and faculty have the opportunity to live the university town of Urbino, at the university campus, thus providing our academic guests a unique international experience. Faculty can teach in an academic setting, conduct research and meet other academic professionals. Students interact with Italian and other international students creating experiences that enrich their academic and personal lives. Our students have access to all the Italian university facilities, including libraries, cafeteria, and services for Italian students. Our programs are fully embraced in a “real” university setting. Our students and faculty live and study on a Italian university campus. The dynamic nature of day to day urban, cultural and agricultural life is very important to understand and to experience a “real” cross-cultural environment. This is Italy; not just historic architecture, museums and building, but also the application of modern Italian life within an important historical context. Understanding not only the historic aspects of the culture, but also the modern motives of today’s industry, architecture and landscape are considered crucial to create an effective international education experience. |
